Man accused of having drugs, driving away from deputies

A man was arrested for allegedly fleeing from police and crashing into three parked vehicles in Albany. Deputies attempted to stop Daniel Jackson, 53, at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Clifton Avenue and Henry Johnson Boulevard. Jackson did not step by sped away on First Street, according to the Albany County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies attempted to stop Daniel Jackson, 53, at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Clinton Avenue and Henry Johnson Boulevard. Jackson did not stop, but sped away on First Street, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

Jackson then crashed into the vehicles before getting out and running away. He was quickly arrested. Jackson also allegedly had crack cocaine.

He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal mischief and traffic violations.
