Adam Matteson Jr., 36 years old, from East Greenbush was arrested just one day after allegedly stabbing two people in Selkirk.

On Friday around 9:30 p.M., police were called to a domestic incident on River Road.

When officers arrived, they found two people assaulted. One victim was transported to Albany medical center with multiple stab wounds, and the other victim was treated on the scene.

The Bethlehem Police department, Albany County Sheriff’s department, and New York State police, then searched a heavily wooded area to find the suspect but they had no luck.

Today, the East Greenbush Police department found the suspect, Matteson, near his home and took him into custody.

During the investigation, police found that he had removed his device before the assault.

Matteson was arraigned in Bethlehem and put behind bars in the Albany county jail.

He is facing seven charges; second degree-attempted murder and third degree-grand larceny.

Matteson is set to return to court on October 18.
