Arrest made in Schenectady meth lab investigation

A man has been arrested in connection with a meth lab in a Schenectady apartment.

NewsChannel 13 first reported on the possible meth lab in September.

It was found in a unit at the Netherlands Village Apartments, Building 7, while a tenant was being evicted, said investigators. Many residents were then evacuated for a time.

Matthew McKenna, 31, now faces several charges for the meth lab, including many felonies. He’s also charged with three counts of child pornography.

More charges are pending, investigators said.
