Mutual aid helps save home from garage fire
Multiple fire departments teamed up overnight to save a home in Petersburgh.

The fire chief tells us they were called out to a garage fire last night on Rabbit College Road.
With no water source nearby, we’re told tankers were needed from eight nearby fire departments to put out the fire.
Luckily no one got hurt.
We’re also told firefighters had to wait nearly two hours after putting out the fire, for NYSEG to come and clear the power.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
