Napanoch Point wildfire now contained
We have good news this afternoon on the wildfire in Ulster County that crews have been battling for more than a week.

Governor Kathy Hochul says after eight days of massive firefighting efforts, the Napanoch Point fire is now contained.
More than two hundred firefighters, pilots, volunteers and staff have been working to contain the fire in Minnewaska State Park.
At one point, the fire had grown to 270 acres.
The state park will reopen Wednesday.
