Northern NY prison staff recovering after possible drug exposure

Around 20 people who work at a northern New York prison may have been exposed to drugs, the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision said.
Staff at Upstate Correctional Facility in Monroe County were helping take an inmate to an outside hospital on Wednesday, when the inmate got physically aggressive, investigators said.
Several staff near the inmate then felt lightheaded and began throwing up.
Narcan was given to some of the staff. Thankfully, everyone is expected to be OK.
Hazmat searched the facility, but no known hazardous substances were found.
