Red Cross unveils new mobile blood donation van

The American Red Cross rolled out a new way to fight the current blood shortage – a mobile donating van.
The van is a way to make donating blood more convenient for people in some areas.
The new mobile operation is equipped with four donating stations and on Friday, it was set up outside the Highmark Blue Shield offices on Western Avenue in Guilderland.
It’s a partnership focused on both helping the Red Cross, and educating people on the Medicare services available through Highmark Blue Shield.
Highmark Blue Shield has an office in Malta as well as Guilderland.
