The trial of a man accused of stabbing and killing his mother in Rotterdam will move forward.

NewsChannel 13 was there as Patrick Haggerty went before a judge in Schenectady County Court on Friday. He pleaded not guilty to murder last month.

Patrick Haggerty is accused of stabbing his mother, Catherine Haggerty, inside their townhouse on Cobblestone Court back in March.
They found her body inside the home, police said.

The 79-year-old woman was found with a knife in her neck, court papers said.

Police said they also found Patrick there when they arrived.

He is due back in court in July.
