State police issue 25,000 tickets during ‘Speed Week’
State police are sharing the results of “Speed Week,” where they step up patrols to catch drivers who are speeding.
Troopers issued more than 25,000 total tickets during the week.
Extra enforcement was out from Monday, August 15 to Sunday, August 21.
Troopers targeted speeders and unsafe driving behaviors, including distracted driving and violations of the “Move Over Law.”
These numbers are down from last year, where troopers wrote nearly 33,000 tickets.
