Tonko overcomes primary challenge from Rar

For the first time since he arrived in Congress 14 years ago, incumbent Rep. Paul Tonko had a primary challenger.

Tonko beat immigration attorney Rostislav Rar in the Democratic primary.

Tonko now goes up against Republican Liz Joy, who Tonko defeated two years ago.
