Troy man admits to role in deadly Albany shooting

A Troy man has admitted to his role in a deadly May 2021 Albany shooting.

Damien McCaskey pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter Friday in Albany County Court. He was initially charged with second-degree murder.

McCaskey caused the death of Danny Pearson on First Street in Albany.

McCaskey faces four to 12 years in prison. He will be sentenced on February 17.
