Troy vacant building fire is under investigation

The Troy Fire Department is still investigating what caused a fire at a vacant building in downtown Troy Sunday night.

Crews responded shortly after 10:30 p.m. to 83 4th street. A Troy police officer saw the smoke and immediately called for help.

Crews were able to get the fire under control within 45 minutes. Troy Fire Chief Eric McMahon says the fire was contained to the first level of the building.

No one was injured.
