Capital Region food drives

Students at Hamilton Fulton Montgomery BOCES are hard at work hosting a food drive. The special education class at Mayfield Elementary School came up with the idea after a lesson about Martin Luther King Jr. and his “I have a Dream” speech. The students are collecting items through February 16. Then they’re taking them to the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church food pantry. The Albany County Legislative Black Caucus’ food drive ended on Thursday. This one is also in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The group is delivering the items collected Friday to the Regional Food Bank.
