National Volunteer Month

Two nonprofits recently came together to recognize National Volunteer Month. Consumer Directed Choices and Umbrella of the Capital District share the mission of keeping seniors and people with disabilities comfortable in their homes. The groups sent teams of employees to homes in Albany County. Those teams raked and cleaned up yards at homes in Albany, Cohoes and Delmar.

CANstruction at Crossgates to fight hunger

Creative builders will build art and help fight hunger at the same time. The 12th Annual Capital Region CANstruction event runs from April 18 to May 1 at Crossgates Mall. The structures will be made from canned food – and the theme is “New York State of Mind.”

Lansingburgh triplets graduate with top honors

The Foster triplets in Lansingburgh  are among Class of 2023’s top 10 students. Jonah, Lucas and Ryan Foster are all making the grade. In fact, Jonah is the Valedictorian and Lucas is Salutatorian.

Washington County Fiber Tour
