Students visit New York State Museum to see mummies and other ancient artifacts.

Fifth graders from the Waldorf School in Saratoga Springs got to bring learning to life during a trip to a local museum.

The students visited the Albany Institute of History and Art, where they got to see mummies and other artifacts. This comes after the students’ month-long study of ancient Egypt.

The museum holds the 3,000-year-old mummy Ankhefenmut. Students were able to see the ancient mummy and other interesting items, including jewelry, pottery, and even a mummified cat.
