A café in Albany is celebrating its five-year anniversary.

Fresh n’ Pressed on Madison Avenue was founded during a time when many businesses were closing their doors. It opened in June 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Lark Street Business Improvement District said this anniversary celebration honors the cafe’s resilience, community support, and the entrepreneurial spirit of its owners.

“After seeing each other working hard as individuals for someone else, and seeing this opportunity to be so close to us, we just decided to go for it. And we knew we could make it work, no matter what,” said owner Jaime Gonzalez.
