World War II veteran celebrates 98th birthday in Troy

World War II veteran Josephine Smith is turning 98 years old.
Smith is described as a bundle of enthusiasm and energy, and always the life of the party.
A party was held for her Wednesday on the terrace at the Van Rensselaer Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Home with family and friends.
County Executive Steve McLaughlin presented a county commendation recognizing Smith for her big day.
