Rensselaer County is out with its 2021 spending plan.

County Executive Steve McLaughlin introduced the budget proposal on Friday.

The plan does not increase taxes and there is a slight decrease in the tax rate.

There is a spending reduction from $353 million in 2020 to $349 million.

The budget now goes to the Rensselaer County Legislature for review.

Legislative review, including public hearings on the budget, will also be held.
