Rensselaer County says it is expanding the number of private residential wells tested for PFAS in the coming weeks.

The expansion comes as the county is conducting a second round of testing on residences in town, after samples detected PFOA and PFOS at two residences.

As NewsChannel 13 has reported, it all started with the discovery of PFOA at Algonquin School during state required testing.

The county says there are no new results available yet.
