Troy man arrested in connection with Jefferson Street stabbing

Troy and Rensselaer police arrested a man in connection with a stabbing on May 17, 2020.  

Police arrested 40-year-old Mark Cooper of Troy Wednesday.


A 48-year-old man was stabbed on Jefferson Street. He was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

Cooper is facing attempted murder and assault charges. 

He was arraigned and sent to the Rensselaer County Jail.
