Troy Police promote Captain Steven Barker to assistant chief

There’s a new assistant chief of police at the Troy Police Department.
Captain Steven Barker is a 12-year veteran of the department and was promoted Friday morning.
He previously commanded the Grants & Technology Unit, which includes the department’s deployment of the body-worn cameras and upgrades to the city’s street camera network.
