TROY - It is an unbearable crime in a neighborhood already overburdened with violent crime.

Troy police are involved in an all-out manhunt for the person or persons who gunned down an 11-year old boy late Monday night on 6th Avenue.

A dark sedan came speeding up the street Sunday night, unloading a barrage of gunfire into a crowd.

It's unclear if anyone was deliberately targeted.

What police know is that 11-year old Ayshawn Davis was definitely not the intended target. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Memorial candles mark the spot on the sidewalk where the hard-working young man took his final breaths late Sunday night.

Police are vowing to bring all sources to bear to solve Ayshawn's murder, mindful of the child's reputation for being a hard-working sweet kid who cared deeply for others less fortunate.

Hear the words of a shocked community by watching the video of Dan Levy's story.
