Troy police are investigating after a 17-year-old was shot in the head late Thursday night.

Police say it happened at Glen Avenue and Seventh Avenue just after 11 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a young man, with a gunshot wound to his head, lying on the ground.

Emergency crews treated him at the scene, and rushed him to Albany Medical Center. Police say he is in grave condition.

They say he is from that neighborhood, and officers say a dark-colored sedan was seen in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Troy detectives at 518-270-4426.
