BATESVILLE, Ark. – Owners of an exotic farm animal in Batesville, Arkansas feared the worst after his leg was badly hurt.
Through a little help and a lot of determination, Cinco the Alpaca is back on his feet.
John and Caren Barnett say he was completely healthy for the first six weeks of his life.
Then the alpaca broke its leg, and kept running on it. The leg was so badly damaged that it couldn’t be saved.
The Barnetts went to a local prosthetic company. Cinco was fitted for a custom prosthetic leg.
He’s quickly gotten used to his new bearings, and the Barnetts say he’s got a full, happy life ahead.
