People living in Queensbury will notice new billboards about Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. Those billboards are calling for her resignation.

It's part of a nationwide Republican Accountability Project campaign, calling for prominent members of Congress to resign for their role in the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

The Stefanik billboards will be going up on Route 9 near Quaker Road and Route 149.

Congresswoman Stefanik's office released the following statement about the billboards to NewsChannel 13:

"Congresswoman Stefanik is focused on delivering COVID relief to North Country families, small businesses, and schools. The Never-Trump movement is doing all they can to distract the press from their massive sexual abuse and harassment scandal, but putting a pathetic billboard in a town we won by 35% two months ago, is certainly next level desperation. The Far-Left, Never Trumpers, and scam PAC organizations spent nearly 7 million dollars trying to beat Congresswoman Stefanik in 2020 and she was reelected with the highest number of votes of any Congressional candidate in the history of the North Country. No one cares about these billboards except for the media." - Alex DeGrasse, Senior Advisor to Congresswoman Elise Stefanik
