Warren County Health Services announced that is had one new case of COVID-19 as of Saturday morning. The source of the person's infection is not known, but the person had attended at least one July 4th weekend holiday gathering. Others at that gathering are being notified now and told to quarantine.
With other recently diagnosed Warren County COVID-19 patients having attended parties/gatherings as well, Warren County Health Services Director Ginelle Jones offered a reminder Saturday that non-essential gatherings are still discouraged.
Those who choose to attend gatherings should make sure to keep a 6-foot distance from non-household members and wear a mask when inside or unable to socially distance outside.
Health Services is currently monitoring eight active cases in Warren County with no hospitalizations.
