The coronavirus pandemic is keeping kids out of school for an extended period of time.

For some kids, celebrating their birthday with their friends is something special to look forward to.

Right now, it's near impossible for some students. So teachers are going above and beyond during this difficult time.

Jaden was surprised by classmates and teachers with a birthday parade in Queensbury on Thursday. His mother sent the video to NewsChannel 13 and thanked all of her son’s friends for making his birthday a memorable one.

He's not the only one getting a special birthday celebration from his teachers.

Jacob goes to Pine Bush Elementary School, and his birthday was this past Tuesday. So his teachers came to his house and surprised him with an impromptu birthday party-- while safely practicing social distancing.

Jacob's mother tells NewsChannel 13 he was very thrilled, and she is grateful for his teachers making Jacob's birthday a special one.
