Police identify nurse killed by snowplow outside Glens Falls Hospital

The Glens Falls hospital community is devastated after the sudden death of nurse Kristen Stevenson, who was killed by a snowplow Tuesday night.

Police say Stevenson, a cardiac catheter nurse at the hospital, was walking out of work a little after 5 p.m. Tuesday and walked behind a plow truck she didn’t know was backing up.

Police have identified the driver of the plow, but have not filed charges or issued tickets.

A spokesperson says Stevenson was a beloved member of the hospital staff. She leaves behind a young son.
