Warrensburg man arrested for DWI and leaving the scene of crash

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for allegedly driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

Police say Cory Connelly, 40, of Warrensburg was traveling south on Hudson Street Friday night when he veered from the lane and struck a parked SUV from behind, then fled the scene on foot. He was later found to be intoxicated after failing standardized field sobriety tests with .20% Blood Alcohol Content.

Connelly is charged with Aggravated Driving while Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident, Consumption/Open Container in a Motor Vehicle, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Switched Plates.  

Connelly was released pending prosecution in Warrensburg Town Court at a later date.
