GREENWICH - The Washington County Fairgrounds is having their inaugural Holiday Lighted Nights. This is a drive-thru holiday display that is going on through the next few weeks.

On Sunday, cars lined up to see the display. When you first drive through, you will come through a snowflake tunnel. Organizers say there are more than 60 displays. You have your classic toy shops, toy soldiers along with Santa.

Rebecca Breese is one of the general managers of the Washington County Fair. She says in 2020, they were not able to have their annual fair in August due to COVID. She says the Washington County Fair is a private non-profit. She says they are still recovering from that revenue loss.

Those who came out Sunday were happy to support the fair and the vendors.

"I have no problem supporting locals. I mean, this is great," said Lonnie Osuchowski, a Gansevoort resident. "Local vendors here with the cider donuts, and the coffee and the homemade cookies, and if this goes back into the community to support the fair, that'd be great," said

The display will be open to the public until December 23. It is $25 per car.
