Deputies investigate crash in Washington County

JACKSON, N.Y. - The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to a fatal accident on State Route 313 in the Town of Jackson around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
One car traveling west was carrying three people, two of them died in the crash. The victims have been identified as 44-year-old Richard Chadwick and 77-year-old Alice Hahn, both of Cambridge.

The surviving occupant has been identified as Jill Chadwick, 47, also of Cambridge. Chadwick has minor injuries and is in stable condition at Albany Medical Center.


The car traveling east was driven by Lindsey Godfrey, 29, of Clifton Park. She received minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Saratoga Hospital. She is in stable condition.

Several road blocks were set up to keep traffic away from the crash site Saturday evening. Barriers rerouted motorists onto Eagleville Road and Fish Hatchery Road for hours.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said the investigation is ongoing.
