Washington County is urging second-home owners, short-term rental owners, weekenders, and visitors to refrain from visiting the county during the coronavirus pandemic.

The county is also asking property owners to remove short term rentals from websites such as Airbnb.

Samuel Hall, Chairman of the Washington County Board, says they’ve recently seen an influx of travelers from outside of the county.

There are currently six confirmed cases of coronavirus within the county. They say one of the sick people is a non-county resident who believed they would receive better access to testing in Washington County.
