Two twin brothers in Maine are running a lawn care business with 100% electric equipment charged with solar energy.

It’s called Solar Mow, and is run by Dimitri and Philip Coupe, who are entering their senior year of high school. Each piece of their equipment charges with solar energy.

The twin’s dad, Phil Coupe, runs a solar energy business of his own – and literally helped his sons power up the operation in 2019, which runs off panels at their home.

Now, in 2022, the two boys have paid back an initial $6,000 loan from him and a second one for the new mower.

They’ve also booked themselves for the season at an average $50 a lawn.
