Schalmont Central School District is being recognized once again for its music education.

The district says it has been named one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation.

The district says the award is given to schools that show an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.

It says this is the sixth-straight year the district has brought home the award.
