There was a friendly game of basketball between teachers and students in Schenectady on Thursday.

This was the second time Schenectady High School held this match, which raises money for the school’s Patriot Pride Committee. The money will be used for this year’s prom.

“It’s about showing our young people that we, staff, are just like them,” said Principal Dennis Green. “I always tell them all the time that we are just bigger versions of you. We love to have fun, we play sports, and outside of our work, we are normal people. Sometimes, and I love that students look up to us, but sometimes it’s about showing them that we can be at their level, too, and have a good time.

The teams included 49 students and 57 teachers. The teachers were able to take home the win.
