ALBANY - To some drivers, she's just the school crossing guard at the corner of North Lake and Sherman in Albany, but to the kids of Brighter Choice Charter School for Boys, she's Ms. Lulu.

Bright and early each morning, she gives them a hug, reminding them to be good and enjoy their day.

There are a lot of kids who cross the streets there, but to her, each one commands her attention before the school bell rings and their day begins.

Nothing seemingly disturbs her bubbly personality - unless it's a driver who isn't following the rules of the road.

She's been helping kids get safely across this intersection for nearly 12 years. As long as the kids keep coming, she'll keep greeting them.

See just how much she enjoys interacting with everyone, by watching the video of Elaine Houston's story.
