Albany-area woman beams on Facebook with Home Shopping Network-like business

Most of us have worked at jobs that didn't excite us. However, finding the job that fuels our passion is what we're really looking for.  For one Albany-area woman, it took quite a while but now she's sitting pretty with her own version of the Home Shopping Network.

Walkino Perkins has loved fashion since she was a child. She says her mom embodied that sense of style and passed it on.

As a kid she started doing hair, but her dreams appeared derailed when she got pregnant in college.

She labored at other jobs and started selling the popular Tracy Lynn Jewelry Line, but wasn't happy. So, she finally took a leap of faith last year, quit her job, and got to work.

With $500 she headed to NYC to buy goods – and Facebook is where she comes alive.

Her company is Pretty Perfect Accessories, but the jewelry and clothing are not the only thing you see when you tune in. You see a woman whose perseverance paid off and is now doing what she was meant to do.

Hear from Perkins about how much joy this brings her by watching the video of Elaine Houston’s story.
