ALBANY - Virginia Spadaro has been a fixture in the Capital Region for 40 years. Now she's saying goodbye.

She owns AAA Furniture on Central Avenue in Albany. Her customers have thought of her as family and vice-versa.

However, she says she was treated like a mismatched dining chair when she first started.

Little did people know her father owned an appliance store and she worked for him starting as a teen.

She eventually took over AAA Furniture from her brother.

Learn about how she's tried to shed the stuffy image of store owners, and how she's tried to use the store to help her community, by watching Elaine Houston's "Today's Women" report.
