State Assembly District 111 – New York

Democrat Angelo Santabarbara was first elected to the New York State Assembly in 2012. He served eight years in the United States Army Reserve. His son, who has autism, inspired him to become an advocate for people with disabilities, he said.

He is being challenged by Republican Joe Mastroianni, a Rotterdam Town Board member. Mastroianni and his family built a food distribution company, which helps supply restaurants in the Capital District.

The district covers parts of Schenectady and Montgomery counties.
