Lake George planning for influx of eclipse tourists

Lake George is a bit closer to the zone of totality than Albany for the April 8 solar eclipse. Businesses are preparing for all the tourists.

The total solar eclipse is Monday, April 8, and hotels are expecting to fill up with visitors who in town to see the phenomenon.

The historic Fort William Henry Hotel in the village of Lake George is getting ready to be at full capacity.
They will be having numerous eclipse specials like galaxy cupcakes and a cash bar with specialty drinks.

Just across the street, the staff at the Adirondack Pub are also planning a big pizza party.

They’re normally closed on Mondays, but are making an exception.

If you plan to come to Lake George for the total solar eclipse, just take note traffic is supposed to be backed up and parking may be limited. You may want to leave early.
