Several cats killed in Gloversville apartment fire

GLOVERSVILLE – An apartment fire in Gloversville has displaced five people and left several cats dead.
The Gloversville and Johnstown fire departments received a report of a fire at 44 Broad Street just before 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The second floor apartment and attic as well as the two-story porch were heavily damaged by the fire.
One person needed to be escorted out of the building by firefighters.
No people were hurt in the fire.
The scene was cleared by 9:30 p.m.
