Recreational marijuana delivery starts in Berkshires this weekend

For people in Massachusetts, marijuana products can soon arrive right at their front door.

It’s not quite as simple as ordering a pizza, but Theory Wellness is offering customers in the Berkshires their first chance at getting their high without leaving home this weekend.

From Sheffield to Pittsfield, Theory Wellness is packing their pot in the car and sending it out to customers. It’s a first for the Berkshires.

"Delivery would be convenient too, especially on a holiday weekend when you know traffic’s going to be bad," said Matt Conlon, a customer.

However, Marketing VP Thomas Winstanley says it’s not like placing your dinner order. IDs are checked online and in person. You can only order it to your home. They’re also partnering with a courier to make it happen.

"We’ve seen in some of the mature markets of California and Colorado, delivery is a very big part of the industry," said Winstanley.
