Two Capital Region Catholic schools announce merger

Two area Catholic schools are merging.

The Albany Diocesan School Board says St. Ambrose School in Latham and Catholic Central High School in Lansingburgh will become a new K-12 school called Catholic Central School.

The new school will be located on St. Ambrose’s Latham campus. It will open in fall 2022.

The St. Ambrose building will be renovated and expanded as part of the merger.
