Lake George residents vote against proposal to dissolve village

LAKE GEORGE – Residents of the village of Lake George have decided to keep the 120-year-old village intact.

The final vote was 269 to 59.

Only village residents were able to vote, not the whole town.

The village has been around for 120 years. The dissolution would have meant the end of the village, its government and its 36 employees.
