The Heed Award acknowledges UAlbany’s ongoing dedication to creating a more welcoming campus.
The award is called the insight into diversity.
The school says it is the oldest and largest publication dedicated to advancing conversations around diversity.
UAlbany says it did a couple things to earn this distinction. It included the development of a bias incident response protocol.
This is a streamlined system for people to report bias incidents. It also has expanded inclusivity training. The school will host a race for equity 5k next month.
