Lab: Dead ducks at Colonie park had bird flu

The ducks found dead at The Crossings in Colonie had bird flu.
That’s the official word from the National Veterinary Services Laboratory.
Staff noticed the sick and dead ducks just over a week ago.
The CDC says the flu is highly contagious among birds, but tough for humans to catch.
Meantime, Town Supervisor Peter Crummey says walking paths in the area will stay closed for now.
