Union takes back Mayor’s Cup one day after Bennett’s resignation

Despite a turmoil-filled week, the Union men’s hockey team knocked off rival RPI 2-0 to take back the Mayor’s Cup on Saturday at MVP Arena. Liam Robertson’s power play goal in the first period gave the Dutchmen a 1-0 lead and Brandon Estes added an empty netter late in the third period. The win came just one day after head coach Rick Bennett announced his resignation from the team after an investigation by the school. See highlights and post-game reaction here.
