Discover Schenectady rolling out new discount program for visitors

Discover Schenectady is rolling out the red carpet to visitors.

They’ve unveiled a new digital passport for meeting and conference attendees, wedding guests, and people participating in sports tournaments or those working on film, TV or stage productions in the county.

Each attendee gets a temporary, custom link on their cellphone to discounts and specials at participating Schenectady County businesses. Visitors simply open the link on their mobile device at a participating business to redeem a deal or discount.

Todd Garofano, Executive Director for Discover Schenectady, said they have a lot of local businesses and attractions registered and because it’s a digital format, they can add new ones quickly and easily.
