New midwifery practice opens in Delmar
There’s a new way for women to get care in Delmar.

The ribbon has been cut on a new midwifery practice in Delmar.
Empowered Midwifery Care has moved into new space at 2 Normanskill Boulevard just off Delaware Avenue.
It was founded by Lisa Preller who says the practice offers more than just birthing and OBGYN services.
The space also includes physical therapy and work out space.
Right now there are about 1,300 licensed midwives in New York State and only 14 in the Capital Region.
There’s a new way for women to get care in Delmar.
Preller is the first licensed practicing midwife to have full privileges at St. Peter’s Hospital.
The Delmar practice also provides pelvic floor physical therapy. This submission comes to us from the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce.
