Employee killed at Jiminy Peak

HANCOCK, Mass. — An investigation is underway after a person was killed at Jiminy Peak Mountain.
Police say Kimberly Francoeur, 30, of Lanesborough died when the snowmobile she was riding collided with a snow grooming machine.
It happened just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, and is being investigated by the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office and Massachusetts State Police.
The owner of the facility told the Berkshire Eagle the staff is "deeply shaken, and their main concern is with the individual’s family and friends."
Francoeur died from injuries she suffered in the collision.
The cause of death is under investigation, but police say it appears to be an accident.
